Whole Home Remodel
Many people have had a room or two remodeled, especially when they buy an older home with fixtures and appliances that desperately need updating. But have you ever thought of a whole home remodel? A whole-home remodel isn’t just doing over each room. It can entail removing a non-supporting wall to open up space, enlarging a narrow kitchen, or expanding an inconveniently small bathroom. It can relieve that “cramped” feeling. It can take care of damage due to old age or moisture problems while updating and making space much more convenient.
If you need 50% or more of your home done over, it’s considered a whole home remodel. That’s where we come in, and we’ll be glad to go over your needs and even suggest possibilities that may not be apparent to you.

What Goes Into a Home Renovation?
Bathroom Remodeling
Many older homes suffer from bathrooms that are too narrow or that have an atrocious color scheme. That sickly green tile may have been the rage a few decades ago, but it’s just nauseating now.
Kitchen Remodeling
Many kitchens in older homes suffer from a lack of space and/or storage. This is especially true with homes with galley kitchens. Not only can you put in new appliances, but we can reconfigure the space, perhaps even removing all or part of a wall to open the space up and make room for an island or more cabinet space.
Basement Conversion
The lowest part of your home can become just as useful as the highest part. Basements weren’t meant just for storage. If you have an older home, you may need to treat the walls to prevent moisture, so why not go for remodeling as well? You can have a spare bedroom down here, a game room, or even some private office space so it’s not so easy for people to interrupt you. If you have outside access to the basement, think about being able to take a shower here after a hard day of yard work. There are plenty of possibilities here.
Home Addition
Maybe a wall just can’t be removed to enlarge that kitchen, but you have the perfect space for a home addition to extend that kitchen outward with a breakfast nook as a bonus.
Attic Conversion
If you’ve got a usable attic space, why not really make use of it? Turn it into an extra bedroom. Next time your brother brings his family to spend a few days, you’ll be surprised how excited the kids will be to sleep in that private upstairs space.
Back Deck Addition
Maybe you’re tired of taking your life into your hands going down steps to your backyard to carry items to your shed. You look at your scenic backyard with all the bird feeders and wish you had a deck to sit on so you can really enjoy your yard instead of just looking out your windows. Well, now you can. Get ready to put in a grill for entertaining and you’ll really have a party central space.
Front Porch Addition
Have you ever envied people in the movies who sit on their front porches with a glass of lemonade watching the neighbors go by? Of course, they’ve also got a porch swing. Well, you can have that sort of lifestyle by adding a spacious front porch to your home. It also provides some shade to the front of the house, helping your utility bills.
Reconfiguring Remodeling
Along this line, many home remodels now involve removing a non-loadbearing wall to open up the space between the living and dining rooms or otherwise create an open floor plan. Not only is this more visually appealing, but it also makes cleaning easier. Your home can seem to be so much larger afterward.

Benefits of a Whole Home Remodel
Cost
Instead of redoing that tiny bathroom and leaving the kitchen for later, it often will cost less to do more of the work at the same time. Building permits and disposal fees only have to be paid once. Project management is much simpler and less costly. Delivery of materials can be done in fewer trips. A whole home remodel saves you more money than renovating each room as an individual project.
Time
You may think that doing your projects all at once will take a huge amount of time, but actually, it will take less time than doing each project separately. We schedule the various types of work cohesively to save time.
Functionality
Doing everything at once improves the flow of your rooms and makes everything work together better. Doing one project at a time may result in finding out that you really should have done this or that to that last project to make it work together with the new project. An all-inclusive project means that no one project causes problems for a future project, and the whole look and flow of your home is planned out all at once.
Remodel vs. Moving

An all-inclusive project means that no one project causes problems for a future project, and the whole look and flow of your home is planned out all at once.
Many families discover that a home remodel creates enough space to feel like you’re living in a larger home, and moving is no longer a necessity. Your home will also increase in value.
Continuity
If you redo your bathroom one year and your kitchen the next, you may find that the tile you fell in love with that you want in both rooms is no longer available for the second room. Finishing hardwood floors one room at a time may leave different colors if a particular stain color is no longer available. A whole-home remodel means that all the materials will be available for all the rooms that need them at that time.
